Becoming Bigger Than Our Pain.

Isn’t that what we all are trying to do in our daily lives?

Make-A-Wish gave us a trip to the Seattle Zoo.

Billy & Brandon got to smile together one more time before Brandon passed,

and we got to be a family again for 2 days.

That in itself is priceless.

The Candlelighters in Spokane helped all of us in so many ways I cannot count them. They are truly very special people, helping others who enter the Ugly World of Childhood Cancer.

So many people have asked what they could do to help. One way is to reach out to these charities below and help keep the love going for others, as it was for us. We are forever grateful to all the people who helped us, and continue to pay the love forward.

For help with grieving and moving on after loved ones are lost, here are some of the many support groups and web sites out there.

The Brain Candy Project’s mission is to support the needs of parents/guardians living in the hospital with their critically ill children. We will collaborate with and support other non-profit organizations who are focused on charitable and educational activities that raise awareness about pediatric illnesses, traumas, and the support needs of families who are affected by them.

Below are two of my facebook friends who are grieving parents,

turning pain into beautiful treasures:
