AS WE PUT THE FINAL TOUCHES ON THE PAGES, AND DECIDE ON A TITLE, HERE IS A PEEK AT OUR ACTIVITY BOOK DESIGNED TO TEACH CHILDREN ABOUT DEATH & GRIEVING.
This interactive activity book helps adults and children share thoughts and feelings with creative exercises. This helps children learn how to process any death. Using terms and examples that they can understand, it creates an avenue for children to share their thoughts and emotions while relaxing and coloring. It includes thought provoking activities to encourage the child to express how they are feeling. This is one of the ways I helped my 3 year old express his grief over his brother's death.
We need to remember to water the flowers when it’s hot, or they will die.
But sometimes no matter how hard we try to keep living things and people alive it does not work.
Plants, animals, and people die.
Some because they are old or sick, but some die by accident.
This is a small 3 ring notebook, with clear pockets on the outside so you can change the cover and the back with your child's own drawings, along with inside pockets to hold special projects. It is designed to be used together with the child, and opens up flat. Some questions on the designs will be to create a discussion on how the child is feeling right then. It will come with a page for the child opposite the page for the adult or older child to color right beside them. This quiet time sitting with my son helped him to show me how he felt when he could not say it with words.
I am still finishing up the designs, and also getting the designs translated for the Spanish version. As soon as I have them completed, and can get a weight for the shipping price I will put them up for sale.
